It's A Pickling & Preserving Party!
Get ready to roll up your sleeves with Karen and Melissa and dive into the delicious world of pickling and preserving at our next hands-on Terra Roots workshop! This isn’t just a class—it’s a pickling surprise party!
What’s on the menu? That’s the surprise! We’ll be hand-selecting the freshest, in-season produce the day before (or even the day of!) the workshop, straight from local farms. You’ll be the first to see what’s in season—and the first to pickle it!
Together, we’ll:
Create three unique pickled products using seasonal produce
Walk through the hot water bath canning process step-by-step
Learn safe, accessible methods to preserve food at home
This workshop is perfect for beginners and seasoned foodies alike. All tools, jars, and ingredients are included—just bring your curiosity and your appetite for fun.
The Details:
🗓️ Date: Saturday June 7th
📍 Location: Wilson Seniors Lounge & Kitchen, Port Coquitlam Community Centre
